At the center of Hyde Park – a huge residential area right outside of downtown – is this square that has many restaurants, coffee shops, retail etc. It is a massive hang out during the week for moms and their strollers.

Our trip to Tampa was nothing short of wonderful. After Abigail was in bed, the four of us took time on Friday night to sit down together and simply recall and talk about the evidences of God’s grace throughout our trip. Thank you for praying. The evidences of God’s grace are many. I could start by just highlighting the fact that God graciously answered each of the prayers that I posted on Tuesday. Each of our meetings was really beneficial – we learned that the area we have our eyes on (Hyde Park) lacks a single healthy local church and thus no one is having any gospel influence on the campus of UT.

We had many fruitful conversations with locals throughout the week – both believers and nonbelievers. A few were even nice enough to give us their contact info for when we move to the area. The Father truly united our hearts this week – both on the city of Tampa and the specific area of Hyde Park. It was privilege and a joy to spend a week with Justin, Jackey, and Abigail as the Lord grew our friendship in ways that only he could as we spent 12 hours a day together.

God’s grace is evident and for that we leave Tampa grateful and hopeful for the future. If the Lord wills – Covenant Life Church is coming to Tampa, FL in early 2009!
